This new Manchester trio combine the taught and expansive sounds of Sonic Youth with a contemporary edge, resulting in an intriguing mix of new and old sounds.

Bass Drum has a direct and forceful feel that powers it through to a speedy conclusion. Yet, it is No Kicks that stands out, building from a timid introduction into a rich melee of guitar noise. It concludes rather earlier than expected, but its briefness makes it all the more memorable.

MDMA has a Spiritualised feel to it as the track rolls around psychedelic guitar parts and spacey rhythm sections whilst singer Ollie delivers thoughtful and observational lyrics inspired by sub-urban life in Manchester. The spiraling track rolls around with intensity and direction, a big change from the other two demo tracks and showing an experimental side of the band that will stand them well for the future.
