'Towards Light' Album Review - Big Issue Oct 2007

The Nightjars vocalist, lyricist and bassist Ollie Wright appears to spend this debut album poised eternally on the precipice of dusk, finding himself in the midst of the city, surrounded by people he may or may not trust whilst trying to make sense of his nocturnal life. His sense of isolation and anticipation is perfectly amplified by deft musical touches such as slide guitar on the Spiritualized-sounding MDMA or the early REM march of You Set Me Reeling.
